AESCAR (pronounced aes-scar) is a skin clinic located in the heart of Melbourne. Our team is passionate about helping you improve your skin health, enhance your natural beauty and age gracefully, using a blend of art, science and innovation.
Led by kathy lee
How It Started
Kathy’s initial interest in skin conditions and wounds led her to pursue her career as a Registered Nurse at The Alfred Hospital Burns Unit, specialising in acute burn care and other wound management.
Over the years, Kathy’s passion for scar management grew and she refined her knowledge and skills in this area – working closely with a renowned Plastic Surgeon at The Scar Clinic where they focus on managing and treating a variety of scars.
Not only does she hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) and a Masters of Nursing Practice, she has also worked as an Academic Lecturer at Victoria University, where she taught and assessed a variety of units within the dermal science program.

Over the years, Kathy felt limited in her role but knew she could do more with her skills and knowledge. She noticed a problem in the scars & plastic surgery industry where there was a huge need for non-surgical treatments with lower risks, and faster recovery time. This meant, patients can get back on their usual lifestyle, faster.
Kathy decided to take the leap of faith and started AESCAR Scars & Aesthetic – a Holistic Clinic that emphasises on non-invasive treatments coupled with exceptional care, while prioritising the patient’s best interest.
Now, Kathy is on a mission to provide better alternative treatments to help patients feel confident in their skin. She works closely with her patients and uses a holistic approach to help them achieve natural looking results that are personalised.
