What Are Dermal Filler Injections?

As we age, our body starts to produce less collagen and elastin, and our skin begins to lose volume, which can contribute to signs of aging like sagging, fine lines, wrinkles, and a hollower appearance.

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical treatment option to boost volume and restore dehydration to your face and lips. These injections are made from a naturally occurring sugar found in your body that gives the skin its moisture, volume and elasticity. They are the ideal treatment for volume replacement, aesthetic enhancement and correction.

What areas can be treated?

Lip filler, also known as lip augmentation or lip enhancement, is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting dermal fillers into the lips. Lip fillers can address concerns such as:

  • Lip volume: if you have naturally thin or flat lips, lip filler can be used to add volume and create fuller, more plump lips.
  • Lip symmetry: if there is noticeable asymmetry between the top and bottom lip, lip filler can help to create a more balanced appearance
  • Lip contouring: lip fillers can be precisely injected to reshape and redefine the lip borders, enhancing the natural contours of the lips and creating a more defined and youthful look.
  • Vertical lip lines: lip fillers can also help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles that may form around the lips, commonly known as vertical lip lines or smoker’s lines.

Chin filler is used to treat various aesthetic concerns related to the chin, such as:

  • Weak or receding chin: if you have a chin that lacks projection or appears smaller in proportion to the rest of your facial features, chin filler can add volume and create a more prominent and defined chin profile.
  • Chin asymmetry: in cases where one side of the face is less pronounced than the other, chin filler can help restore balance and symmetry to the face.
  • Chin contouring: chin fillers can be strategically injected to reshape and contour the chin, providing a more sculpted and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
  • Jawline definition: when chin filler is used to enhance chin shape and contour, it can simultaneously define and improve the appearance of the jawline.

Cheek filler can improve facial volume, contour, symmetry and rejuvenation.

  • Volume loss: as we age, the natural fat pads in our cheeks can diminish, resulting in a sunken or hollow appearance. Cheek fillers can restore lost volume and replenish the youthful plumpness to the cheeks.
  • Contour enhancement: cheek fillers can be strategically injected to contour and sculpt the cheeks, creating a more defined and lifted appearance. This can help achieve a desirable facial balance and harmony.
  • Cheek asymmetry: if there is asymmetry in the cheeks, such as one cheek being flatter or less pronounced than the other, cheek fillers can help create symmetry and improve facial proportion.
  • Facial rejuvenation: cheek fillers can smooth out wrinkles, fine lines, and folds in the mid-face region, resulting in a fresher and more youthful look.
